Rockhopper Exploration plc ("Rockhopper") is an oil and gas exploration company based in the United Kingdom with interests in the Falkland Islands. The Rockhopper has its operations Falkland Islands and in Mediterranean. Rockhopper holds 40% interests in licences PL032 and PL033 in the North Falkland Basin. PL032 contains the Sea Lion field, which was discovered by Rockhopper in 2010 and extends into licence PL004b. Rockhopper has a 24% interest in this block. Rockhopper also has a 3% interest in licence PL003. In Mediterranean Rockhopper has four key assets Guendalina - Gas production, where Rockhopper holds 20% intereest; Ombrina Mare - Oil and gas discovery, where Rockhopper holds 100% interest; Monte Grosso - Exploraion, where Rockhopper holds 23% interest and Malta Area 3 and 4 -Exploraion, where Rockhopper holds 40% and 25% interest respectively. In August 2014 Rockhopper completed the takeover of Mediterranean Oil & Gas plc ("MOG").
