The Company offers services to its customers across multiple transportation modes. Landstar provides services throughout the United States and Canada and between the United States and Canada, Mexico and other countries globally. The Company�s services are delivered through a network of independent commission sales agents and third party capacity providers linked together by a series of information technology systems, which are provided and coordinated by the Company. Landstar utilizes third party capacity providers to transport and store customers� freight. The Company operates in two segments: the transportation logistics segment and the insurance segment.
