SES SA (formerly known as SES GLOBAL SA) is a Luxembourg-based provider of satellite communications and broadcast services. Together with its subsidiaries, the Company provides satellite-delivered services for broadcasting and media distribution, including television and radio programming, corporate data networks and communications solutions, as well as mobile broadband solutions. With a fleet of 40 satellites at 26 orbital positions, SES provides coverage of 99% of the world’s population. SES also supplies satellite services solutions to governments in order to ensure secure communication within both civilian and defense environments. As of December 31, 2008, the Company had numerous subsidiaries, including SES Global-Americas (100%), SES Global Africa SA (100%), SES Latin America SA (100%) and SES Finance Sarl (100%), among others.
