Park Sterling Corp., formerly Park Sterling Bank, is a North Carolina-chartered commercial bank. The Company offers deposit and loan banking services. Its primary focus is to provide these personal banking services to mid-sized businesses, real estate development and construction firms, business owners, executives, professionals, higher-net worth retail customers and others doing business or residing within its target markets. The Company�s primary market area consists of the Charlotte and Wilmington, North Carolina metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs). The Charlotte-Gastonia-Concord MSA consists of five countries in North Carolina (Anson, Cabarrus, Gaston, Mecklenburg and Union) and one country in South Carolina (York). The Wilmington MSA consists of New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender countries in Southeast North Carolina. In May 2014, the Company announced that it has completed its acquisition by merger of Provident Community Bancshares, Inc.
