Description

Hilltop Holdings Inc. operates as the holding Company for PlainsCapital Bank that provides business and consumer banking services in Texas. The Company operates in four segments: Banking, Mortgage Origination, Insurance, and Financial Advisory. The Company�s organizational structure is comprised of two primary operating business units, NLC (insurance) and PlainsCapital (financial services and products). Within the PlainsCapital unit are three primary wholly owned operating subsidiaries: PlainsCapital Bank, PrimeLending and First Southwest. The Bank provides traditional banking services, residential mortgage lending, wealth and investment management, treasury management and capital equipment leasing. The Company�s insurance products are distributed through a network of independent agents and a select number of managing general agents, referred to as MGAs, which are concentrated in five states: Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Tennessee, and Georgia.
