Navarro Discount Pharmacies operates more than 30 drugstores in South Florida. The regional drugstore chain caters to Miami's Cuban population with low prices and beauty products and fragrances for Latin women. The stores, which average about 20,000 sq. ft., also feature large, well-stocked baby departments and offer food items and Hispanic favorites. Founded in Havana, Cuba in 1940 by Jose Navarro Sr., the Navarro family left Cuba in 1961 and set up shop in Miami as Navarro Discount Pharmacies. The largest Hispanic-owned drugstore chain in the US, Navarro is owned by drugstore and pharmacy benefits manager CVS Health (formerly CVS Caremark).
