Midwest Banc Holdings, Inc. is a community-based bank holding company. Through its wholly owned subsidiaries, the Company provides a range of services, including traditional banking services, personal and corporate trust services, and insurance brokerage and retail securities brokerage services. The Company’s principal operating subsidiary is Midwest Bank and Trust Company (the Bank) an Illinois state bank that operates 27 banking centers in the Chicago metropolitan area. The Company operates in the community banking business segment, providing a range of services to individual and corporate customers. Midwest Financial and Investment Services, Inc., a subsidiary of the Bank, is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registered broker/dealer that provides securities brokerage and insurance services to customers of the Bank.
