Industria de Diseno Textil SA (Inditex SA) is a Spain-based company primarily engaged in the textile industry. The Company’s core activities include manufacture, commercialization and distribution of fashion items, mainly clothing, footwear accessories and household textile products. Inditex SA is a parent company of Grupo Inditex, which is basically comprised of its major subsidiaries: Zara Espana SA, Oysho Espana SA, Grupo Massimo Dutti SA and Pull & Bear Espana SA, among others. Grupo Inditex’s principal activity includes retail distribution of the products through commercial stores managed by eight business formats: Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterque. The major shareholder of the Company is Gartler SL, which holds 50.01% of its stake. As of December 31, 2008, Industria de Diseno Textil SA operates 4,264 stores in 73 countries with the presence in Europe, Asia, the Americas and Africa.
