Midway Energy Ltd., formerly Trafalgar Energy Ltd., is an oil and gas company with operations in the western Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia. The Company is involved in the exploration, development and production of petroleum and natural gas in Alberta and British Columbia. Its assets are located in three primary areas: Grouard, Mackay and Cypress. Trafalgar has an inventory of exploratory projects in various stages of development in north central Alberta consisting of primarily shallow- to mid-depth natural gas opportunities. As of December 31, 2008, Trafalgar had 114,000 net undeveloped acres (101,000 png/ 13,000 oil sands). In July 2009, the Company completed its plan of arrangement with EET Management Corp. and Energy Investment Limited Partnership (the Partnership), pursuant to which, among other thing, the Company acquired all of the common shares of EET and the partnership units of the Partnership.
