Memorial Health University Medical Center wants to provide memorable health care to residents of Savannah, Georgia, and surrounding areas. An affiliate of Mercer University School of Medicine, the tertiary care facility provides such services as cardiac and trauma care and rehabilitation. Also known as Memorial University Medical Center (MUMC), the hospital has some 620 beds and includes the MUMC Children's Hospital. It also operates specialty cancer care and women's health centers, as well as research programs. Founded in 1955, MUMC is the flagship facility in a broader system of entities known as Memorial Health, which includes affiliated primary and specialty care clinics in the region.
