Methanex Corporation (Methanex) is a supplier of methanol to the international markets of North America, Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America. Methanex has production facilities in Chile, Trinidad and New Zealand. The Company owns 60% interest in Egyptian Methanex Methanol Company S.A.E. (EMethanex), which is developing the project, a 1.3 million tons per year methanol facility at Damietta on the Mediterranean Sea in Egypt. The Company’s production facilities in Chile represent 3.8 million tons of annual production capacity. It has produced 1.1 million tons of methanol during the year ended December 31, 2008 (during 2008). The Company’s production facilities in Trinidad represent 1.9 million tons of annual production capacity.
