MFS Intermediate Income Trust (the Fund) is a closed-end fund. The Fund’s investment objective is to seek high current income. The Fund maintains a portfolio that includes investments in short and intermediate-term United States Government, and foreign sovereign and high-grade securities. It normally invests the Fund’s assets primarily in debt instruments. It generally invests substantially all of the Fund’s assets in investment grade debt instruments. The Fund may invest its assets in United States and foreign securities, including emerging market securities. It may also invest in mortgage dollar rolls. It invests in sectors, such as broadcasting, building, cable television, chemicals, conglomerates, consumer products, consumer services and defense electronics. The Fund's investment advisor is Massachusetts Financial Services Company.
