MoSys, Inc. (MoSys) designs, develops, markets and licenses embedded memory intellectual property (IP), used by the semiconductor industry and electronic product manufacturers. MoSys generates revenue from the licensing of its memory technology, and its customers pay the Company fees for licensing, non-recurring engineering services, royalties, and maintenance and support. MoSys offers its technology on a non-exclusive and worldwide basis to semiconductor companies, electronic product manufacturers, foundries, intellectual property companies and design companies through product development, technology licensing and joint marketing relationships. In June 2009, MoSys Inc. announced the acquisition of substantially all of the assets and business of Prism Circuits, Inc., a supplier of high data rate parallel and serial interface input/output (I/O) IP.
