Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) designs, develops and markets analog and mixed-signal semiconductors. The Company combines process technology with its analog designers to produce power management integrated circuits (ICs) for direct current (DC) to DC converters, light emitting diode (LED) drivers, cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) backlight controllers, Class-D audio amplifiers and other linear ICs. Its products are used in computing and network communications products, flat panel televisions (TVs), set top boxes and a variety of consumer and portable electronics products. The Company focuses on the market for high performance analog and mixed-signal ICs. It has three primary product families that address multiple applications within the computing, consumer electronics and communications markets and these are DC to DC Converters, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Backlight Inverters and Audio Amplifiers.
