(Mindspeed) is engaged in designing, developing and selling semiconductor networking solutions for communications applications in enterprise, broadband access, metropolitan and wide area networks. The products, ranging from optical network transceiver solutions to voice and Internet protocol (IP) processors, are classified into three focused product families: high-performance analog products, multiservice access digital signal processor (DSP) products and wide area networking (WAN) communications products. The products are sold to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for use in a range of network infrastructure equipment, including mixed media gateways, high-speed routers, switches, access multiplexers, cross-connect systems, add-drop multiplexers, IP private branch exchanges (PBXs), optical modules and broadcast video systems.
