SPDR Morgan Stanley Technology ETF (the Fund) seeks to replicate as closely as possible the performance of the Morgan Stanley Technology Index (the Index). The Index consists purely of electronics-based technology companies. The Index consists of United States companies drawn from 11 technology sub-sectors: computer and business services; technical software (computer-aided design (CAD)/computer-aided manufacturing (CAM)) and electronic design automation (EDA)); enterprise software; Internet and personal computer (PC) software; telecom equipment; wireline/wireless; data networking/data security; server and enterprise hardware; PC hardware and data storage; connectors/electronics manufacturing services; semi-conductor capital equipment, and semiconductors. It utilizes an indexing approach and attempts to approximate the investment performance of the Index, by investing in a portfolio of stocks intended to replicate the Index.
