Matrix Service Company (Matrix Service) provides construction, and repair and maintenance services primarily to the energy and energy related industries. The Company operates in two segments: the Construction Services segment, and the Repair and Maintenance Services segment. It also offers services to its customers where its two business segments work together to provide a combination of services. The Company’s projects range in duration from a few days to multiple year contracts, which can be performed as one-time contracts or as part of long-term alliance agreements. Matrix Service is able to provide services and respond to its customer’s requirements for both union and merit shop operations. On February 5, 2009, the Company acquired S.M. Electric Company, Inc. (SME).
