Description

Murphy Oil Corporation (Murphy) is an oil and gas exploration and production company with retail and wholesale gasoline marketing operations in the United States and refining and marketing operations in the United Kingdom. It operates in two business activities: Exploration and Production and Refining and Marketing. Murphy�s exploration and production activities are subdivided into six geographic segments: the United States, Canada, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Republic of the Congo and all other countries. Murphy�s refining and marketing activities are subdivided into segments for the United States and the United Kingdom. Murphy�s worldwide crude oil, condensate and natural gas liquids production during the year ended December, 31, 2011, averaged 103,160 barrels per day. On September 30, 2011, Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P. acquired of the Superior, Wisconsin refinery and associated operating assets and inventories (the Superior Assets) of Murphy.
