The investment seeks to provide a tax-efficient investment return consisting of long-term capital appreciation. The fund primarily invests in stocks in the Standard & Poor's SmallCap 600 index, in approximately the same proportions as they are represented in the index. It may invest in common stocks, futures contracts, options, warrants, convertible securities, and swap agreements. The fund may limit investments in index securities that have undesirable tax characteristics, and may continue to hold securities of issuers no longer included in the index.
