Monterey Exploration Ltd. (Monterey) is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of natural gas, natural gas liquids and crude oil in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. The Company has operations in Western Canada. The majority of the Company's assets are located in northeast British Columbia (NEBC) with additional producing assets in central Alberta. The Company is weighted 80% towards natural gas and concentrates its exploration and development activities on mid-range risk/reward multizone gas horizons. Monterey’s properties include Laprise/Dahl, Buick Creek/Squirrel, Brassey, Groundbirch, Smoky and Ferrybank. The Laprise/Dahl area is located in northeast British Columbia approximately 140 kilometer north of Fort St. John. Monterey holds an average working interest of 60% in approximately 99,000 gross (60,000 net) acres of land.
