Horizon Milling is a leading producer of durum and semolina wheat flours with about 20 production facilities throughout the US and in Canada. The company makes bakery flours and other specialty products primarily for food manufacturers and foodservice operators, as well as private-label flours for the retail market. In addition to customers in North America, Horizon Milling exports flour worldwide. Horizon Milling was formed in 2002 as a joint venture between diversified food and agricultural products giant Cargill and grain marketer CHS (which owns about a quarter of the business). Horizon Milling has been expanding its products portfolio in 2010.
