Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. consists of a landholding and operating parent company and its principal subsidiaries, including Maui Pineapple Company, Ltd. and Kapalua Land Company, Ltd. The Company operates in three segments: Agriculture, Resort and Community Development. The Agriculture segment primarily includes growing, packing, and marketing of fresh pineapple. The Resort segment includes the Company’s ongoing operations at the Kapalua Resort. The Community Development segment includes its real estate entitlement, development, construction, sales and leasing activities. Revenues from its three segments, Agriculture segment, Resort segment and Community Development segment accounted for approximately 35%, 47% and 14% of its consolidated revenues respectively during the year ended December 31, 2008.
