Medis Technologies Ltd. (MTL) is engaged in designing, developing and marketing a fuel cell technology that provides portable electricity for retail, commercial and military applications. Its technologies provide solutions for remote and off-grid power. Its products do not store power they generate fresh power on the spot as needed. It also means that it can power devices in the complete absence of electricity from the grid – during blackouts, in battlefield conditions, in subway tunnels or mine shafts, or at other remote or unmanned locations. Its fuel cells do not generate significant heat and are recyclable. Its fuel cells are based on sodium borohydride.
