Hancock Holding Company (Hancock), incorporated on April 6, 1984, is a bank holding company. The Company operates through two wholly owned bank subsidiaries, Hancock Bank, Gulfport, Mississippi (Hancock Bank) and Whitney Bank, New Orleans, Louisiana (Whitney Bank). Hancock Bank and Whitney Bank (referred to collectively as the Banks) operate across a Gulf south corridor comprising southern Mississippi; southern and central Alabama; southern Louisiana; the northern, central, and Panhandle regions of Florida, and Houston, Texas. The Company�s primary operating segments are divided into Hancock, Whitney, and Other. The Hancock segment coincides generally with the Company�s Hancock Bank subsidiary and the Whitney segment with its Whitney Bank subsidiary. Each Bank segment offers commercial, consumer and mortgage loans and deposit services.
