Description

Village Farms International, Inc. is a producer, marketer and distributor of greenhouse-grown tomatoes, bell peppers and cucumbers in North America. The premium product is grown in agricultural greenhouse facilities located in British Columbia and Texas. The Company also markets and sells third party produce through its subsidiaries. It markets and distributes under its Village Farms brand name and other brand names,, primarily to retail supermarkets and dedicated fresh food distribution companies throughout the United States and Canada. As of December 31, 2011, the Company owned and operated eight greenhouse facilities in British Columbia and Texas, providing 1,034,358 square metres (approximately 262 acres) of growing space in Canada and the United States. In July 2014, the Company acquired Maxim Power (B.C.) Inc., wholly owned subsidiary of Maxim Power Corp.
