The Company also manufactures and sell Kindle devices. It offers programs that enable sellers to sell their products on its websites and their own branded websites and to fulfill orders through them , and programs that allow authors, musicians, filmmakers, app developers, and others to publish and sell content..The Company operates in two segments: North America and International. North America segment consists of amounts earned from retail sales of consumer products and subscriptions through North America-focused websites such as www.amazon.com and www.amazon.ca and include amounts earned from AWS. The International segment consists of amounts earned from retail sales of consumer products and subscriptions through internationally-focused websites. In May 2012, the Company acquired Kiva Systems, Inc. (Kiva).
