China Sunergy Co., Ltd. (China Sunergy) is engaged in designing, developing, manufacturing and selling solar cells. It manufactures solar cells from silicon wafers utilizing crystalline silicon solar cell technology to convert sunlight directly into electricity through a process known as the photovoltaic effect. It sells its solar cell products to Chinese and overseas module manufacturers and system integrators, who assemble its solar cells into solar modules and solar power systems for use in various markets. The Company produces both monocrystalline and multicrystalline silicon solar cells. In addition to standard P-type solar cells and HP solar cells, the Company also produces an improved version of the P-type solar cells that the Company and most other solar cell manufacturers produce.
