Uranium Resources, Inc. (URI) is primarily engaged in the business of acquiring, exploring, developing and mining uranium properties using the in situ recovery (ISR) or solution mining process. As of December 31, 2008, the Company owns both producing and undeveloped uranium properties in South Texas and undeveloped uranium properties in New Mexico. In June 2008, the Company and Billiton Investment 15 B.V. agreed to terminate an agreement under which URI agreed to purchase Rio Algom Mining LLC.
