Description

Asset Acceptance Capital Corp. is engaged in the purchase and collection of defaulted and charged-off accounts receivable portfolios from consumer credit originators. Charged-off receivables are the unpaid obligations of individuals to credit originators, such as credit card issuers, consumer finance companies, healthcare providers, retail merchants, telecommunications and other utility providers. In addition, it finances the sales of consumer product retailers through its Consumer Credit, LLC subsidiary and licenses a collection software application through its Legal Recovery Solutions, LLC (LRS) subsidiary. On July 29, 2010, the Company committed to exit the healthcare accounts receivable purchase and collection activities conducted by Premium Asset Recovery Corporation (PARC). Subsequently, on December 15, its PARC subsidiary was dissolved. On July 21, 2010, through its subsidiary, Legal Recovery Solutions completed an acquisition of BSI eSolutions, LLC.
