American Superconductor Corporation (AMSC) is a provider of megawatt-scale solutions. The Company operates in two segments, including Wind and Grid. The Company’s Wind business segment enables manufacturers to field wind turbines with power output. The Company’s Grid business segment enables electric utilities and renewable energy project developers to connect, transmit and distribute power. In the wind power market, the Company allows manufacturers to field wind turbines through its power electronics products, engineering and support services. In the power grid market, the Company allows electric utilities and renewable energy project developers to connect, transmit and distribute power through its transmission planning services and power electronics and conductor-based products.
