American CareSource Holdings, Inc. (ACS) is an ancillary services company that offers access to national network of ancillary healthcare service providers. The Company sells its services to a number of healthcare companies, including third party administrators (TPAs), insurance companies, self-funded organizations, preferred provider organizations (PPOs) and various employee groups. The Company has assembled a network of ancillary healthcare service providers that supplement or support the care provided by hospitals and physicians and includes 31 service categories. In May 2014, the Company purchased substantially all the assets of CorrectMed, LLC. Effective September 02, 2014, American CareSource Holdings Inc, a unit of CCS Consolidated Inc's Patient Infosystems Inc, acquired Bay Walk-In Clinic Inc. In September 2014, the Company acquired Express Family Care, the owner and operator of three urgent care centers located in three growing suburbs of Birmingham, Alabama.
