Description
Advocat Inc. (Advocat) provides long-term care services to nursing center patients in eight states, primarily in the Southeast and Southwest United States. Advocat provides a range of long-term care services to the elderly, including skilled nursing, ancillary health care services and assisted living. In addition to the nursing and social services usually provided in long-term care centers, it offers a variety of rehabilitative, nutritional, respiratory, and other specialized ancillary services. During the year ended December 31, 2010, the Company operated 46 nursing centers containing 5,364 licensed nursing beds. Its nursing centers range in size from 48 to 320 licensed nursing beds. During 2010, the Company terminated operations of four nursing centers in Florida.
