Description

Black Diamond, Inc. (Black Diamond), formerly Clarus Corporation, is engaged in designing, manufacturing and marketing outdoor performance products for climbing, mountaineering, backpacking, skiing and other outdoor recreation activities. Black Diamond and Gregory are it brands. It provides its product offerings in three categories: climb, ski and mountain. It offers a range of products, including rock-climbing equipment (such as carabiners, protection devices, harnesses, belay devices, helmets and ice-climbing gear), technical backpacks and day packs, travel luggage, lifestyle packs, tents, trekking poles, headlamps and lanterns, gloves and mittens, skis, ski poles, ski bindings, ski boots, ski skins, and safety equipment. Its products are sold in North America, Europe, Asia and the rest of the world in approximately 50 countries. In July 2012, the Company acquired POC Sweden AB. In October 2012, it acquired PIEPS Holding GmbH and its subsidiary, PIEPS GmbH.
