The Company offers a range of deposit, lending, insurance, and wealth management products to retail, commercial, not-for-profit, and municipal customers in its market areas. It operates in two segments: Banking and Insurance. Banking includes the activities of the Bank and its subsidiaries, which provide commercial and retail banking services. Insurance includes the activities of Berkshire Insurance Group, which provides commercial and consumer insurance services. In April 2012, it acquired CBT - The Connecticut Bank and Trust Company. In October 2012, the Company acquired Beacon Federal Bancorp, Inc.
