BioScrip, Inc. provides home infusion and other home healthcare services. The Company’s services are designed to improve clinical outcomes for patients with chronic and acute healthcare conditions while controlling overall healthcare costs. The Company’s platform provides nationwide service capabilities and the ability to deliver clinical management services that offer patients a high-touch, home-based and community-based care environment. Its core services are provided in coordination with, and under the direction of the patients' physicians. The Company’s multidisciplinary team of clinicians, including pharmacists, nurses, dietitians, respiratory therapists and physical therapists, work with the physician to develop a plan of care suited to its patients’ specific needs. In February 2013, the Company acquired 100% of the ownership interest in HomeChoice Partners, Inc., a Delaware corporation (HomeChoice). HomeChoice is a provider of alternate-site infusion pharmacy services.
