Brooks Automation, Inc. (Brooks) is a global provider of automation, vacuum and instrumentation solutions for multiple markets, including semiconductor manufacturing, technology device manufacturing and life sciences. The Company operates in four segments: Brooks Product Solutions, Brooks Global Services and Brooks Life Science Systems. On December 30, 2011, the Company acquired the Celigo automated Cell Cytometer product line (Celigo) from Cyntellect, Inc. On January 6, 2012, the Company acquired intangible assets from Intevac, Inc. On October 29, 2012, it acquired Crossing Automation Inc. (Crossing), a United States based provider of automation solutions for the global semiconductor front-end markets.
