Broadwind Energy, Inc. (Broadwind Energy) is engaged in providing products and services to energy, mining and infrastructure sector customers, primarily in the United States. The Company operates in three segments: Towers and Weldments, Gearing and Services. Broadwind Energy �s product and service portfolio provides its wind energy customers, including wind turbine manufacturers, wind farm developers and wind farm operators, with access to an array of component and service offerings. Outside of the wind market, the Company also provides precision gearing and weldments to a range of industrial customers for oil and gas, mining and other industrial applications. On March 4, 2011, Broadwind Energy completed the disposition of its logistics business. In April 2013, the Company sold its idle tower plant in Brandon, SD.
