China Natural Resources Inc. (CHNR), through its operating subsidiaries is engaged in the acquisition and exploitation of mining rights, including the exploration, mineral extraction, processing and sale of iron, zinc and other nonferrous metals extracted or produced at mines primarily located in Anhui Province in the People�s Republic of China. The Company operates in two segments: exploration and mining - non-ferrous metals, and exploration and mining - coal. The 45% equity interest in Guangdong Longchuan Jinshi Mining Development Co. Limited and 48% equity interest in Hainan Nonferrous Metal Mining Co. Limited originally held by Yangpu Lianzhong Mining Co. Limited, a subsidiary of the Company were disposed of to an unaffiliated party on January 26, 2010 and December 17, 2010 respectively. On April 30, 2010, the Company acquired Wealthy Year Coal Group.
