Cresud SA (Cresud) is an Argentina-based company engaged in production of basic agricultural commodities and also involved in development and sale of properties. The Company has its presence in agricultural sector, through BrasilAgro-Companhia Brasileira de Propiedades Agricolas (BrasilAgro) and rental services, through its subsidiary, IRSA. The Company is involved in activities, including crop production, milk production and beef cattle production. Crops cultivated include wheat, corn, sunflower, Soyabean and others. Milk production business is carried out in the dairy facility located in El Tigre. Beef cattle production sector involves breeding and fattening of animals. The Company also focuses on the development of agricultural properties and provides commodity brokerage services. Through its subsidiary IRSA, it is involved in acquisition and development of shopping centers, offices, and luxury hotels. As of June 30, 2011, the Company owned 25 farms with 473,243 hectares of land.
