Description

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is a vertically integrated solid waste, recycling, and resource management services company. The Company provide resource management expertise and services to residential, commercial, municipal, and industrial customers, primarily in the areas of solid waste collection, transfer, disposal, recycling, and organics services. The Company operates in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, and Pennsylvania. As of May 31, 2012, the Company owned and/or operated 32 solid waste collection operations, 31 transfer stations, 17 recycling facilities, nine Subtitle D landfills, four landfill gas-to-energy facilities, one landfill permitted to accept construction and demolition, or C&D, materials and one waste-to-energy facility. In September 2012, the Company acquired a Mobile Renewable Power Station from Arista Power, Inc. On December 6, 2012, the Company acquired Blow Bros. (doing business as Bestway Disposal Services and BBI Waste Industries) (BBI).
