Description

Dawson Geophysical Company is a provider of onshore seismic data acquisition and processing services in the lower 48 states of the United States. The Company acquires and processes two dimensional (2-D), three dimensional (3-D) and multi-component seismic data for it�s clients, ranging from oil and gas companies to independent oil and gas operators, as well as providers of multi-client data libraries. As of September 30, 2011, the Company operated 14 3-D seismic data acquisition crews in the lower 48 states of the United States and a seismic data processing center. It performs data processing in the Company's Midland, Houston and Oklahoma City offices, and field operations from Midland. The Company does not acquire seismic data for its own account nor does it participate in oil and gas ventures. The Company operates in contract seismic data acquisition and processing services segment.
