Description

EDCI Holdings Inc. (EDCIH), is a holding company for Entertainment Distribution Company, Inc.(EDCI) which, together with its wholly owned and controlled majority owned subsidiaries, is a multi-national company in the manufacturing and distribution segment of the entertainment industry. The Company has one reportable business segment operated by its majority owned subsidiary, Entertainment Distribution Company, LLC (EDC). EDC provides pre-recorded products and distribution services to the entertainment industry. The primary customer of EDC is Universal Music Group (Universal). On August 25, 2008, EDCI consummated a reorganization, pursuant to which EDCI became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company. Following the reorganization, the Company holds 100% of the stock of EDCI. On December 31, 2008, the Company sold substantially all of the United States. business of EDC to Sony DADC U.S., Inc (Sony DADC).
