Ensign Group, Inc. is a holding company. The Company, through its subsidiaries, provides skilled nursing and rehabilitative care services through the operation of 127 facilities, eleven home health and ten hospice operations, fourteen urgent care centres and a mobile x-ray and diagnostic company. The Company operates in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin. The Company�s wholly-owned subsidiaries provides accounting, payroll, human resources, information technology, legal and other services to the other operating subsidiaries. The Company also has a wholly-owned captive insurance subsidiary (the Captive) that provides some claims-made coverage for general liability, as well as coverage for certain workers� compensation insurance liabilities. The Company's affiliated facilities have a collective capacity of approximately 14,000 operational skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living beds.
