North Central Bancshares, Inc. (North Central) is the holding company for First Federal Savings Bank of Iowa (the Bank), a federally chartered savings bank. The Company is a unitary savings and loan holding company and the principal business of the Company consists of the operation of the Bank. The Bank operates from its main office located in Fort Dodge, Iowa and 10 other branch offices located in Iowa. The Bank is primarily engaged in the business of attracting deposits from the general public in the Bank’s market areas, and investing such deposits in one- to four-family residential real estate mortgages, multifamily and commercial mortgages and consumer loans, with emphasis on second mortgage loans. The Bank’s primary market area include Webster, Story, Dallas, Polk, Henry and Des Moines counties, which are located in the central, north central and southeastern parts of the State of Iowa.
