Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (Gilat) is a provider of Internet Protocol (IP)-based digital satellite communication and networking products and services. The Company designs, produces and markets very small aperture terminals (VSATs) and related VSAT network equipment. It has 16 sales and service offices worldwide and two call centers. The Company�s products are primarily sold to communication service providers and operators that use VSATs to serve enterprise, government and residential users. It also provides services directly to end users in various market segments in the United States and certain countries in Latin America. The Company operates three business units: Gilat Network Systems (GNS), Spacenet Inc. (Spacenet) and Spacenet Rural Communications (SRC). In November 2010, the Company acquired Wavestream Corporation. In April 2011, the Company acquired CICAT Networks, Inc.
