Green Plains Inc. (Green Plains) is a vertically integrated producer, marketer and distributor of ethanol. The Company operates in four segments: Ethanol Production segment, which is engaged in the production of ethanol and related distillers grain; Corn Oil Production segment, which is engaged in the operation of corn oil extraction systems; Agribusiness segment, which is engaged in grain handling and storage and cattle feedlot operations, and Marketing and Distribution segment, which is engaged in marketing and providing logistical services for ethanol and other commodities for a third-party ethanol producer. It has operations throughout the ethanol value chain, beginning upstream with its grain handling and storage operations, continuing through its ethanol, distiller's grains and corn oil production operations, and ending downstream with its marketing, terminal and distribution services.
