Gentiva Health Services, Inc. (Gentiva) is engaged in providing home health services and hospice services. Gentiva operates in two segments: Home Health and its Hospice segment. As of December 31, 2011, it served patients through approximately 420 locations in 41 states. During the year ended December 31, 2011, the Company sold its equity investment in CareCentrix Holdings Inc. On October 14, 2011, the Company completed the sale of its IDOA business to Premier Home Health Care Services, Inc. On April 29, 2011, the Company purchased the outstanding interest in Odyssey Healthcare of Augusta, LLC (Augusta). On September 10, 2011, the Company completed the sale of its Rehab Without Walls business to Southern Home Care Services, Inc. In July 2012, it acquired Advocate Hospice. In September 2012, it acquired the home health and hospice businesses of Family Home Care Corporation. In September 2012, it acquired North Mississippi Hospice, based in Oxford, Mississippi.
