Description

Chart Industries, Inc. (Chart) is a holding company. The Company is a global manufacturer of engineered equipment used in the production, storage and end-use of hydrocarbon and industrial gases. Chart supplies engineered equipment used throughout the global liquid gas supply chain. It is a manufacturer of standard and engineered equipment primarily used for low-temperature and cryogenic applications. It has developed cryogenic systems and equipment, which operate at low temperatures sometimes approaching absolute zero. The majority of its products, including vacuum insulated containment vessels, heat exchangers, cold boxes and other cryogenic components, are used in the liquid gas supply chain for the purification, liquefaction, distribution, storage and end-use of hydrocarbon and industrial gases. It operates in three segments: Energy & Chemicals (E&C), Distribution and Storage (D&S) and BioMedical. In August 2012, the Company acquired AirSep Corporation.
