Description

Hardinge Inc. (Hardinge) is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of machine tools, specializing in precision computer numerically controlled metal-cutting machines. The Company supply high precision computer controlled metal-cutting turning machines, grinding machines, vertical machining centers, and accessories related to those machines. It has manufacturing facilities located in China, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States. The grinding machines of its Kellenberger subsidiary are used to grind the inside and outside diameters of cylindrical parts. Its subsidiary, Jones & Shipman Grinding Limited, manufactures and distributes a range of grinding (surface, creep feed and cylindrical) machines used by a range of industries. Its machines can be used to produce parts from all of the standard ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as plastics, composites, and exotic materials. In December 2012, the Company acquired Usach Technologies, Inc.
