Description

Hercules Offshore, Inc. (Hercules Offshore) provides shallow-water drilling and marine services to the oil and natural gas exploration and production industry globally. It provides these services to national oil and gas companies, integrated energy companies and independent oil and natural gas operators. As of February 23, 2012, it owned a fleet of 42 jackup rigs, 17 barge rigs, two submersible rigs, one platform rig, 58 liftboat vessels and operate an additional five liftboat vessels owned by a third party. The Company operates in five segments: Domestic Offshore, International Offshore, Inland , Domestic Liftboats and International Liftboats. On April 27, 2011, it acquired 20 jackup rigs from Seahawk Drilling, Inc. and certain of its subsidiaries (Seahawk). In May 2011, it completed the sale of all of Delta Towing�s assets and certain liabilities. In March 2012, the Company acquired the offshore drilling rig Ocean Columbia from a subsidiary of Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc.
